We are delighted to welcome So Young Yang, MA, CAT-LP (she/her) to 14th Street Psychoanalytic Services. So Young comes to the field as a second career clinician, having worked internationally as a filmmaker for many years.
She holds a Creative Arts Therapy Limited Permit from New York State and brings a unique blend of talk therapy and creative arts therapy to her clinical work. Her training includes working with individual clients at the NYU Center for Counseling and Community Wellbeing. Also, with experience supporting psychiatric patients with acute needs, her approach is relational, experiential, trauma-informed, and transformative.
Grounded in a deep understanding of how past experiences shape present life, So Young helps clients uncover new perspectives on their challenges. She creates a client-centered space where each session is tailored to the individual—integrating creative arts and somatic components within the framework of traditional psychotherapy.

EMDR (available from mid-December 2025) / RYS-500 Yoga certified

Nina Sander comes to clinical work with a background in education, youth leadership, and psychoanalytic training. She holds a limited permit in Psychoanalysis and has been providing clinical care at the National Institute for the Psychotherapies since 2019.
Prior to entering the field, Nina spent over a decade working as an educator and program leader in environmental education, youth development, and social justice–oriented community organizations. She holds a master’s degree in education from NYU Steinhardt and brings a deep appreciation for creativity, play, and the learning process into her therapeutic work.
Grounded in a relational psychoanalysis, Nina’s therapeutic approach helps clients better understand how past experiences shape their present feelings and relationships. She creates a warm, playful, and supportive space, tailoring her approach to each client’s needs, working collaboratively to foster emotional resiliency, a stronger sense of self, and trust in their own inner compass.
