Creativity in Treatment
Practical approaches to integrating drama therapy, art, music, and movement into psychodynamic treatment. Participants learn specific techniques for accessing non-verbal experience and facilitating expression beyond traditional talk therapy.
The Adolescent Experience
Understanding the unique developmental, social, and identity challenges facing contemporary adolescents. Topics include peer dynamics, social media impact, identity formation, and creating developmentally appropriate therapeutic interventions.
Incorporating Play into Traditional Therapy Spaces
Bringing playfulness, spontaneity, and experiential learning into clinical settings. Explores how play serves as both assessment and intervention across the lifespan, not just with children.
Working with Third Culture Kids (TCKs)
Specialized approaches for individuals who spent developmental years living between cultures. Addresses identity formation, belonging, grief and loss, and creating coherent self-narratives for this population.
Queering the Treatment Room
Creating affirming therapeutic spaces for LGBTQ+ individuals. Goes beyond tolerance to examine how heteronormative assumptions shape practice and how to center queer perspectives in clinical work.
Embodiment and Projective Techniques
Use of drama therapy and somatic techniques to facilitate self-expression and access embodied experience. Includes hands-on practice with projective assessments and body-based interventions.
